We were introduced at a social dance party in Rome. He and my partner were talking after dancing, and he encouraged us to come visit in Sardinia, where there was also the promise of a lovely dance scene.
We visited Sardinia six months later, where he and his partner took us to a house party. Nothing major, about eight people all told. But what an atmosphere... and the host's Pasta Carbonara was as delightful as the conversations were free flowing.
We talked, we laughed, and we all danced in the living room; one of many highlights of an especially cherished memory. To me the reason is simple; it reminds me that true luxury is a feeling that originates in the heart and is compounded between people.
