One of my favourite tv-show characters tells the amusing story of a 20th century crime figure. Everyday he would go to Church Mass to pray, ''lord give us health and strength, we will steal the rest''.
I've always found it amusing because in spite of his dubious character (and I hope he didn't get very far) he was on to something. Health is wealth, as the saying goes, and rightly so. Yet health without strength, of mind or body, could be its own ailment.
Both are entirely subjective, to be sure. And whether or not we come by them through divine intervention is both moot and irrelevant. What resonates with me is simply that they are two things to be pursued for their own sake - because truly everything else will come.
