Tenerife, or connection

I'm sat with Marty at the Samoa restaurant in Tenerife's playa las Americas. One of the waitress reminds me of the essense of service, by his manners. It is to be human. To relate with people on a human level, while retaining the courteous manners of the professional.


It is to enjoy what we do, or at least enjoying being of service to others. It is to be friendly, to be free of worries in the moment of service, and to be one's best self. Or at least just to be one's self. Because somehow in the end service is another form of connection.
